Tufu-
Tufu is one of the truly enigmatic figures in Oddesean history. The Legend of Tufu is surely better known than the actual life of the man.

It is believed that Tufu was born around 4592? B.C on the Plains of Elise. His father may have been a sage or nomadic tribe leader, but nothing is known of his parents beyond speculation.

In 4566 B.C., Tufu had a vision that God came to him and told him to follow a glow in the western sky until it vanished. He did this and came to the hills of Elise. It was there that he built a dwelling at the summit of the highest hill. He called it Felicia, or the High Place.

Some time after this was to have happened, Tufu was attacked by a band of Pagans and his temple was defiled. He fought them off and captured a female Pagan warrior who he nurtured back to health.

She told him about the nature of her tribe and he shared the word of God with her. When the Pagans returned he challenged the leader and killed him. He was then made the leader. Instead of assuming command of the group and moving along, he ordered only half of the group to hunt while he had the other half constructed a number of dwellings and rebuild the temple.

These dwellings eventually became the City of Felica. The tribe soon turned to farming and cattle, while the hunters developed into a quasi-military.

Tufu repelled attack after attack on his city and even led some raids on the Pagans. Soon, he was capturing tribes and uniting them under his authority. In time, Tufu had an empire the equaled the entire Felisorian Peninsula.

Tufu is said to have died in 4534 B.C. leaving his son Tufu Tu, as Emperor.

The Tufan Empire, although the first, is often seen as one of the most spectacular that the world has known, spanning the years 4501 B.C. to 3704 B.C.
