Treylandian True Monarchists-
This is the name given to a group of Dannunifian political thinkers and activists of the early 19th century that eventually cause the Treylandian Revolution.

Found mostly found in Northern Dannunifian regions during the late 1700’s and early 1800’s, the True Monarchists stood on the argument that only a pure monarchy based on divine right could rule over a people based on religious issues.

Archduke Karl Bunbenic, the Archduke of Carlone, Treyland from 1735 until his death in 1769, became the leader of the True Monarchist movement in the pre-independent days of Treyland. Bunbenic worked tirelessly to organize a resistance to a movement to turn Dannunifius into a constitutional monarchy.

In 1769 Trevor Bunbenic continued his fathers work first mostly through writings then with actions. Trevor and his island remained out of the national spotlight until the ruling House of Danis ordered that a constitution be drafted in 1790. Bunbenic commissioned several documents that condemned that action as treason and “totally against the idea of divine right.”

Trevor was praised for his work, and the measure was able to block the measure until the death of King Carlos V. Key Dannunifian Royal advisors begin drafting a Constitutional Monarchy despite Crown Protectorate Janos Degarto’s warnings of backlash.

Trevor eventually assumed the thrown. The True Monarchists continued as a political force in Treyland until the 1850’s. In Dannunifius most True Monarchists choose to immigrate to Treyland or Nordanis.
