Elise
Elise is the region in central Felixland that surrounds the city of Elix and extends to the Dead Sea. The region is central to the Tufan Empire that was consolidated in 4566 B.C. by the Emperor Tufu. Before that time, Oddesea was a planet made up of nomadic groups that lived in an unsteady anarchy. Tufu consolidated five tribes and constructed the first true Oddesean city, which he named Felica.

The region is mostly flat grassland that was cultivated into fields where grains are grown. Two small forests, to the north and to the west, provide limited timber for structures. Most buildings are constructed of rock from large quarries or from cement like material made from limestone and sand. The center of the region is dominated by a system of hills. It is on the largest hill where the original city of Felica existed.

When the Tufan Empire collapsed in 3204 B.C., a major battle was fought in which most of Felica was burned. The remaining Felicans were conquered by a group known as the Marauders of Elise, a band of nomads that allied themselves to overthrowing the City of Felica. The Marauders of Elise found themselves poor conquerors and appointed a body known as the Elixian Sages to over see the construction of a new capital on one of the surrounding hills. They named the new settlement Elix and allowed the ruins of Felica to remain for several hundred years.

Elise boasts the highest average rainfall of any of the other Felisorian regions. This causes flooding in the spring and fall. Many would be invaders have been forced into retreat due to this condition.

Elise, in modern times, acted as the home providence for the Felisorian Kingdom (1491-1850), the Republic of Elix (1850-1970), Axis Empire of Felixland (1971-1991) and the Federal Republic of Palacioslavania.
