Cantanata, Treaty of-
The 1810 Treaty of Cantanata is the document that cemented the political and economic ties between Treyland and Deutscheslavania. The Treaty of Cantanata also established diplomatic recognition of Treyland, established the Bunbenic Royal Line of the until purely Deutscheslavanian then Von Arthur royal family and paved the way for almost 200 years of Deutscheslavanian influence on the island nation of Treyland.

The terms of the treaty bond the two nations in almost every since of the word. The provisions were documented in Dannunifian as well as in Deutscheslavanian and establish clear rhetoric of mutual protection and non-belligerence.

Meeting in Diplomatic agreement before the Apostolic Archbishopric of Cantanata in union with the Archbishopric of Carlone and the Holy Church, an agreement is hence drawn between the True Kingdom of Treyland and the Kingdom of Deutscheslavania this 29th autumn day of August year of our Lord 1810.

Whereas the Royal House of Bunbenic and the Nation of Treyland & Nordanis seek political union in terms of lasting peace and amity and…

…Whereas the Royal House of Von Arthur and the Imperial Deutscheslavanian Kingdoms of Tomcovy et al seeks diplomatic consideration and rights of trade with the Nordanic powers…

…A treaty of amity and non-aggression hereby exists between the two powers mentioned beforehand forward hence until such time as diplomatic arrangements are made to justify otherwise. Both sides hence shall adhere to the provisions contained herein:

Provision I- No state of war shall exist between the Royal House of Von Arthur and the True Monarchal House of Bunbenic. No army, general or vassal of either house shall venture into hostile relations with the other with out a signed, sealed and delivered declaration of hostilities. Such a declaration must firmly negate this treaty and be agreed upon by both Houses.

Should house be deposed, the succeeding House or entity must renegotiate or negate this treaty in open services.

Provision II- The House of Bunbenic and the MOST Royal House of Von Arthur are to merge in HOLY SANCITIY and with the BLESSING of the HOLY CHURCH. The marriage of the [signature] Majesty TREVOR BUNBENIC, Archduke of Carlone and TRUE Royal Monarch of Treyland and [signature] Princerina Gretchen Von Arthur, 3rd Daughter of His MOST ROYAL MAJESTY King Rupert Von Arthur the THIRD Imperial Monarch of the Deutscheslavanian Kingdoms of Tomcovy et al is to take place at the Cathedral of Carlone on the 20th day of November of this year of our Lord.

Provision III- All Navigation rights between the two powers hence shall be extended equally. The Royal Deutscheslavanian Kriegsmarine shall extend naval facilities, Shore leave and duty free trade to Treyland in return for the use of the Ports of CARLONE and CANTANATA.

Fishing rights on all territorial waters are hereby mutually granted. Naval escort of damaged or distressed vessels are mutually granted. A ban on piracy and patrol of pirates are in support of said bargain.

Provision IV- No Free exchange of science is hereby granted as is a duel citizenship. No citizen of Treyland will disregard the laws of Deutscheslavania, as will those of GREATER Deutscheslavania.

VON ARTHUR AMMENDMENT- The ROYAL HOUSES OF BUNBENIC and the ROYAL HOSUE OF VON ARTHUR are forever linked in the eyes of God. No aggression may disturb this Grace of our Lord.
