Amsterdavania Coalition-
The Amsterdavania Coalition formed in the Jamsterdavanian Parliament in answer to the growing concerns of Southern Jamsterdavanians living on the continent of Amsterdavania. This issue reached a boiling point in 1846 with the Southern Jamsterdavania Riots of 1846.

In 1823, Jamsterdavania passed a document known as the Amster Proviso. This document provided for an organized development of Southern Jamsterdavania and granted powers to local governments to make changes. In 1825, Southern Jamsterdavania voted for more control under the Amster Proviso's Provision VI. This provision was designed to raise funds for the completion of any projects in Southern Jamsterdavania.

In 1827 Jamsterdavania repealed the Amster Proviso stating that its function was too expensive. Representatives form the south became enraged.

Their concern was mainly with the fact that their local governments were powerless to implement programs in Amsterdavania without direct intervention from the Jamsterdavanian Parliament in Premont. This situation meant that needed roads, railroads and other transportation improvements were placed second to those of the north.

Peter Dell, a Southern Jamsterdavanian political powerhouse, rallied four political factions into a coalition that elevated Dell to the office of President in 1854.

The Amsterdavania Coalition first fought to bring needed improvements to Antwa and Anthoy and eventually gathered support for the construction on a National Road in Amsterdavania.

Peter Dell became President of Jamsterdavania and attempted to revise and re-establish the Amster Proviso. The Parliament and Federalists made a vote of no confidence against Dell that was defeated by a very narrow margin. Dell responded in 1855. The Swamptree Coalition merged into the Amsterdavania Coalition to become the Amsterdavania Party.

The Amsterdavania Party was a considerable political force that began to defeat northern legislation with motions of no confidence and blackball voting. Peter Dell introduced the Jamsterdavanian Articles of Confederation, designed to turn Jamsterdavania into a Confederation. In 1857, the Parliament evenly split on Articles of Confederation.

In 1858, a group of Radical Confederationists overthrew Swamptree’s Colonial Government and pleaded with Dannunifius to occupy it. Dannunifius denied request to occupy Swamptree to strengthen its bond with Jamsterdavania.

A year Later, Peter Dell resigned as President and accepted Confederation Leadership after the failure of the Articles of Confederation. The Amsterdavania Party walked out of the Parliament and organized a provisional government for Amsterdavania based on the Articles of Confederation.

The Amsterdavania Party changed its name to the Confederationists in 1860 and later developed into the Amsternational Party in 1904.
